Art in the Afternoon students are inspired and encouraged by looking at art from other cultures, artists, and learning about history. Earth-friendly projects that encourage recycling are emphasized. Our students are proud and our parents are amazed at the quality of the art work that is produced!

Personal expression is encouraged, as well as skill development using different media. Lessons are designed to cater to children of all ages and skill levels. The students will have one art lesson per day, in addition to at least one other stimulating game or activity.

This is our fourth year operating as an after school program in Black Mountain. We have added many new fun and exciting activities to our program such as group games, drama, poetry, sewing and weaving, and building things in nature. We will continue to add components to our curriculum as the year progresses.

Children may be picked up at any time before 6:00. Extra fees may be charged for children who are picked up after 6 p.m.
